Made in Michigan from heirloom-quality hardwood
reserve yours now on Kickstarter for delivery in December!
An afforable injection-molded Standad Edition will follow soon after!
It’s that simple again.
For the first time ever, the Stacksaw™ & Transient Cards™
work with your existing cards to form a complete physical 'stack’.
By putting every spell and effect on a highly customized patent-pending turntable,
the Stacksaw™ cuts the confusion from Magic’s most complex interactions.
So for the fist time in a long, time, we can focus on enjoying the game--
instead of a choking down a good old fashioned 'stack salad'.

Christopher J. Brownfield is an author, multi-disciplinary artist, and professional mariner. He holds licenses as a ship’s chief engineer, small boat captain, and drone pilot.
Christopher started playing Magic: the Gathering in 1994 at The Warzone, a local game store founded by his father in Michigan. In '95, he won a beta Black Lotus in ante, then traded it for a Time Walk (before they were restricted). He sold all of his cards in 1997 when he joined the Navy. Womp, womp…
After serving aboard nuclear submarines and as a spec ops officer during the Iraq War, Christopher studied economics at the Nitze School of Advanced International Studies. There, he conducted original research on cooperative treaty structures for multipolar nuclear deterrence, eventually producing a working paper that Henry Kissinger described as, “...brilliant; game theory at its best.”
Christopher was inspired by great thinkers like John Nash and Robert Axelrod to simplify Magic’s governing dynamics by giving physical form to a complex algorithmic process.
Today, he personally builds each Stacksaw™ Artifact Edition in the same workshop where his grandpa built woodcrafts and his father designed gaming terrain.
"I don’t make Magic; I just make it better."
